Second chances
(For you Darling Bud)

Unequal life, irrational love;
Yet hope.
A vague vision is all you may have today;
Yet hope.
Till those second chances rain on you,
Dance upon your dreams.
Till that splendor dresses your nakedness,
Smoke out your remorse in the German pipe.
Till a tender endearment seeks your company,
Fancy your magnificent solitude.

Unequal life, irrational love;
Yet hope.
A vague vision is all you may have today;
Yet hope.
Till the time they buy your radical view,
Create hundreds of little successes.
Till those vain victories come out from the hiding,
Indulge on those fantasies.
Till the time you kill the nagging guilt,
Flirt with intriguing revelations.

Forget the frozen winters and flaming summers,
Oh, the rustic paths and solitary wars;
Tempest this, tempest that;
Oh, listless days and bitter nights;
Yet hope.
Don’t give even a crumb of you to defeat.
For, every day I will bring you the ale of faith.
For, I will sit by you in silence on noisy nights.
